Brave Storyboards by Barry Johnson

A random selection of storyboard panels by Barry Johnson, from his time on Pixar's Brave. I absolutely love the style of these story drawings. They are very loose and simple, and the drawing has so much energy to it.

As I have mentioned before I sometimes get myself into trouble by getting too much into the drawing of a storyboard. Adding a lot of stuff that isn't necessary and getting lost in useless detailing. Drawings like these are so inspring.

But don't be deceived by the apparent simplicity of these storyboards. All the information you need is there. And the drawings are incredibly appealing, they remind me a lot of children's book illustrations. So, yeah, good stuff!
